절제된 표현 속 강렬한 서사, 관객의 집중을 불러일으키는 밀도 높은 연주로 깊이 있는 해석을 펼치는 클래식기타리스트 안용헌은 11세에 기타를 시작해 2017년 금호 영아티스트 콘서트로 데뷔 하였으며 2024년 금호 라이징스타와 2024 예술의전당 국제음악제 리사이틀 연주자로 선정되며 클래식계의 새로운 솔리스트로 떠오르고 있다. 국제 콩쿠르 기록을 매년 갱신하고 있는 그는 2024 알함브라 국제기타콩쿠르에서 3위, 동양인 최초로 2023 스페인 발렌시아 알보라야 국제기타콩쿠르에서 우승 및 청중상을 수상하였으며 2022 이탈리아 페르난도 소르 국제기타콩쿠르에서 1위 없는 2위, 스페인 아리아가 국제기타콩쿠르에서 우승, 2021 이탈리아 모똘라 국제기타콩쿠르 3위, 독일 한나바흐 국제기타콩쿠르 2위, 오스트리아 알리리오 디아즈 국제기타콩쿠르 1위 없는 2위, 2020 에스토니아 탈린 국제기타콩쿠르 2위를 수상하면서 차세대 기타리스트로서 자리매김했다. 또한 독일 뉘르팅엔 국제기타콩쿠르, 중국 창사 국제기타콩쿠르, 리히텐슈타인 국제기타콩쿠르에서 피날리스트로 이름을 남겼다.

충북 청주에서 태어난 그는 김종열, 김해경, 김성진 사사로 충북예술고등학교를 졸업, 서울대학교 음악대학에 입학하여 장대건, 허원경 사사 아래 학부 재학중 대한민국 국제기타페스티벌 콩쿠르, 해외파견 콩쿠르에서 우승하며 실력을 입증하였고, 일찍이 음악저널 콩쿠르 등 기타부문이 있는 국내 10여개 콩쿠르에서 모두 1위를 수상하며 두각을 나타내었다. 이후 유학길에 올라 엘리엇 피스크 사사로 오스트리아 모차르테움 잘츠부르크 국립음대에서 석사과정(Master)과 PGL(Postgraduate)을 만장일치 최고점으로 졸업하였으며 요하네스 모노 사사 아래 독일 슈투트가르트 국립음대 최고연주자과정(Konzertexamen)을 만장일치 최고점으로 졸업했다.

 

국내뿐만 아니라 2023년 스페인 마드리드 한국문화원 초청 리사이틀, 빌바오 Mila Musika Haria 초청 리사이틀, 바르셀로나 Casa Luthier 초청 리사이틀 등 스페인 투어를 성공적으로 마쳤으며 주포르투갈 한국 대사관의 초청으로 리스본 시립박물관 Palácio Pimenta에서 리사이틀을 가진 바 있다. 또한 현대음악 작업에도 큰 관심을 갖고 있는 그는 수차례의 기타 독주작품 초연 및 헌정과 더불어 2018년 범음악제에 참여해 기타가 포함된 다양한 편성의 앙상블 작품들을 초연했으며 2021년 수원문화재단의 지원으로 6개의 하프시코드 기타 2중주 작품을 초연했다. SWDKO Pforzheim, 충북도립교향악단, 청주시립교향악단, 프라임필하모닉오케스트라, 알테무지크서울, 서울대학교 스트링 챔버 오케스트라, 뉴월드 필하모닉 오케스트라 등과 협연했으며 기타의 다양성을 보여줄 수 있는 여러 악기와의 앙상블에도 꾸준히 참여하고 있다. 

 

또한 KBS Classic FM <음악실>, EBS FM <이승열의 세계음악기행>, <정경의 클래식클래식>, CPBC <장일범의 유쾌한 클래식>, CJB SBS 다큐멘터리 <안녕하세요, 문화예술씨!> 등 다양한 매체의 방송에 출연하며 클래식기타의 매력을 널리 알리고 있다.

Yong-heon Ahn, Classical guitarist

 

Yong-heon Ahn is a classical guitarist recognized for his restrained yet powerful musical expression and deeply immersive interpretations that draw audiences into a concentrated musical narrative. He began playing the guitar at the age of eleven and made his debut in 2017 at the Kumho Young Artist Concert. In 2024, he was selected as a Kumho Rising Star and as a recitalist at the Seoul Arts Center International Music Festival, establishing himself as one of the most promising emerging soloists in the classical music scene.

 

He has built an outstanding record in major international competitions, with achievements that continue to expand each year. His recent accolades include 3rd Prize at the 2024 Alhambra International Guitar Competition, 1st Prize and the Audience Prize at the 2023 Alboraya International Guitar Competition in Valencia—where he became the first Asian laureate to win the competition—2nd Prize (with no 1st Prize awarded) at the 2022 Fernando Sor International Guitar Competition in Italy, and 1st Prize at the Arriaga International Guitar Competition in Spain. He has also received 3rd Prize at the 2021 Mottola International Guitar Competition, 2nd Prize at the Hannabach International Guitar Competition in Germany, 2nd Prize (with no 1st Prize awarded) at the Alirio Díaz International Guitar Competition in Austria, and 2nd Prize at the 2020 Tallinn International Guitar Competition in Estonia. In addition, he has been a finalist at the Nürtingen International Guitar Competition in Germany, the Changsha International Guitar Competition in China, and the Liechtenstein International Guitar Competition.

 

Born in Cheongju, Korea, he studied with Jongyeol Kim, Haekyeog Kim, and Seongjin Kim, and graduated from Chungbuk Arts High School. He later entered Seoul National University, where he studied under Daekun Jang and Wonkyung Heo. During his undergraduate years, he won top prizes at numerous competitions, including the Korea International Guitar Festival Competition and the Overseas Dispatch Competition, as well as first prizes at more than ten major domestic competitions.

 

He subsequently pursued further studies in Europe under Eliot Fisk at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, where he completed both his Master’s degree and Postgraduate studies with the highest distinction. He then studied with Johannes Monno at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart, graduating from the Konzertexamen program with the highest distinction.

 

He has performed internationally in recitals across Europe, including appearances at the Korean Cultural Center in Madrid, the Mila Musika Haria Festival in Bilbao, and Casa Luthier in Barcelona. He also gave a recital at the Palácio Pimenta, Lisbon City Museum, upon invitation from the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Portugal.

 

Deeply engaged with contemporary music, he has premiered and been dedicated numerous solo guitar works, and participated in the 2018 Pan Music Festival, presenting newly commissioned ensemble works featuring guitar. In 2021, with support from the Suwon Cultural Foundation, he premiered six works for guitar and harpsichord duo. He has appeared as a soloist with ensembles including SWDKO Pforzheim, the Chungbuk Provincial Orchestra, Cheongju Philharmonic Orchestra, Prime Philharmonic Orchestra, Alte Musik Seoul, Seoul National University String Chamber Orchestra, and New World Philharmonic Orchestra, while actively exploring diverse chamber collaborations.

 

In addition to his concert activities, he has appeared on various broadcast programs, including KBS Classic FM, EBS FM, CPBC, and SBS, contributing to the wider appreciation of classical guitar.
